In total, there are 13,690 contaminated sites in New Jersey. In Sussex County alone, there are 239. This means that Sussex County does not hold the majority of contaminated sites in New Jersey because that only equals 1.7% of the total contaminated sites.

However, there are only 14 police stations in Sussex County and 13 of them are within a mile of of contaminated sites. This means that 93% of police stations in Sussex County are within known contaminated sites.
